MLM Internet network marketing – Are you Building a lasting Internet Business?

Before I discuss this topic, I want you to ask yourself: What is my goal on the internet? Do you just want to make quick cash and get out? Or do you want to build a lasting business?

I realize most people who do business on the Internet came on for different reasons other than Building a business. For some it is to make some quick money to take care of urgent needs, in which case MLM network marketing is a wrong choice (it takes time and effort to earn). Others just stumbled on a money making program while surfing the net. The point is, most of us doing businesses on the internet, even some of my colleagues in MLM Internet network marketing don’t have much idea about the industry or topic we represent. They just do it because they know someone providing information in that field and making money, so they start competing with the pros in that topic, copying what they are doing. This is the reason we have lots of junk information online. If you don’t know a subject and you are competing with those who know it well and can provide valuable content as experts, you are just wasting your time and money, because there is no way you will succeed in that niche.

Rather than drag a niche with the experts of it, just to follow their foot steps, find your own path and dominate it.

To build a lasting business on the internet, either in the MLM network marketing field or any other, you have to start right, take time to lay a proper foundation, get some tools to help you so you don’t go wrong. If your foundation is properly set, you will excel in any field when you storm the net.

The first step to building a lasting Internet business is to find out what you are good at, everyone is good at something, even if it’s to destroy and cause havoc (laughs). If that’s the case, then you can from your personal experience write convincingly about that problem, why you do it and how you feel after doing it. If you’ve had a change of heart now, then tell them why, and how you were about to overcome it (you could invite them for a class with you). You see how easy it could be to make money from something you know well? People will be drawn to your articles and relate well with you because of that personal touch that comes with, you become so real to them and they know they are not alone.

So basicly you share their problems with them and provide help as to how to overcome it. There could be books on it or consultation services that you can promote. You can write a free e-book and give out on your site, so you obtain their contacts and keep in touch with them.

Internet marketing is much more fun and successful when you are writing about something you love. So no matter how stupid you think your passion, hobby or experience is, write them down, if it relates with you, then be sure that there are others like you who feel the same way. You’ll be surprised at how many people type that keyword on the search engines every day looking for information. But even though you don’t find much searches for it, you can still work around it and make it a sub-keyword on your site. When you use the right research tools it will help you break it down and make a sense of it.

There is nothing like building an Internet business around your passion, then the information you provide comes to you naturally and instead of seeing writing unique great content as a big task, you’ll see it as fun.

If you are just struggling to get by in your current niche and not making success yet or the kind of success you want, it’s never too late to start over. Why stick to something that is not working for you

Recently I started asking myself, what is really my passion?
The MLM network marketing business model appeals to me, and I can provide strong content on it because I’ve had personal experience of what works and what doesn’t, I read a lot about it and I’m good with people. But I wouldn’t say I have a passion for it.

A passion has to be something you love, that people beg you to stop doing or talking about. I guess that should easily come to mind and I have started the foundation for that thing I love talking about most.

Laying the foundation of a lasting internet business is very tedious. It involves finding the Demand, Supply, Possible Partners, ideas for site content etc that will form the Blueprint for the site.

But first things first, finding your passion. The thought provoking questions below will help you

What do you love to talk or read about?
What is your hobby?
What do you do for fun, games?
What are your natural talents?
What special body or knowledge have you learned from your job?
What do you do on a daily basis, without even thinking about it? (Child rearing, taking care of sick parents, renovation, customs inspector)
What sections of a bookstore or magazine shop do you always find yourself?
What bugs you?
What’s tedious?
What does not work?
What kind of TV shows do you tend to like most? Movies?
What activities do you enjoy most about your current occupation?
Is it research?
Helping customers achieve their goals?
Managing other people?
Teaching or explaining things to others?
Talking/selling on the phone?
Organizing things?
Making a process easier?
Discovering or creating new products or services?
Marketing products?

I believe you’ve been able to find some things you can joyfully write about by examining those questions, have you come up with two or more topics? Good!

The next question is, of the two or more topics you’ve outlined, how do you know which is more profitable to start with? Now you need some tools to help you look deeper into each topic and break them down to create your Master keyword list (your site blue print)

It’s quite tedious, but the only real way to a successful business on the internet.

MLM Network marketing Success and your Spider Web

You cannot succeed in MLM and network marketing if you do not build a web of your own. Are you building a spider web? Your spider web is your circle of contacts; the more contacts you have the more chance there is that someone would contact you with an opportunity. Whether in MLM or other businesses people who build webs always succeed no matter the kind of business they are involved in, is either they refer people to an opportunity or someone refer them to an opportunity either way leads them to success

Analyze all the business successes you know whether they are in the MLM and network marketing industry or in other business fields, you’ll see that they have built a good circle of contacts around them. Once you are truly concerned about your contacts and strive to help them in areas you can so that they achieve success, you will see that success will naturally come to you.
No wonder Zig Ziglar said “you can have everything in life you want if you help enough other people to get what they want”

There is no MLM without people; you need people, lots of them to succeed in network marketing. You have to look for people on a daily basis, social network sites have made it easy to find people. So search for them, invite as many people as allowed to join your friends list, then get to know these people and their problems and offer them solution. As they come to trust, they could partner with you in your business, even if they don’t join you in your MLM business you can work together in the business in other related areas.

The kind of trust MLM business requires cannot be achieved in a day; you can not just chat or exchange mail with someone once and expect them to trust you. You have to find a way to keep conversing with him and send resourceful links, perhaps links to informative articles you wrote on your site or informative article you read somewhere or a free book you read. In time you will earn their trust

To build relationships with easy you want to first try to discern the kind of personality you are dealing with so as to know the approach to use. Michael Dlouhy, a professional in the MLM and network marketing industry with 25 years experience, in his book ‘Success in 10 Steps’ listed the different personalities available under four categories: The Yellow, the Blue, the Green and the Red.

The Yellow he referred to as the nurses, school teachers, UN workers etc and with this group you have to build a relationship with then first before you can talk to them about business, that’s if you don’t want them to see your business as hype.

The Blue are the fun loving ones who love sales business, they are always moving from one business to another, with this group you get straight to the cheese

On the other hand with the Green you have to be very patient. They are the analytical group. They do all the research there is to get more information on the business opportunity. Some continue to do research even after the company enters momentum. There is nothing you can do to hasten this group up, so don’t bother trying, they will join the business at their own time.

With the Red it is all about what they stand to gain from doing the business. Their question is always ‘what is in it for me?’ So go straight and tell them about the money!

When you are genuinely concerned about people and offer them help, it builds you a spider web for long time success, your business becomes like a house build on concrete, and no wind can pull it down.
But on the other hand if you build your business only on a good pay plan and /or sizzle product, what happens is that when a competitor comes with better products and pay plan, your distributors will not be loyal to you.

You want to build the kind of strong relationship that keeps your downlines loyal to you, so that should something happen to your present MLM company and it shuts down, your downlines remain with you and when you find another network marketing opportunity worthwhile they willing to move with you instead of starting from crash. Doesn’t that sound cool? Am sure it does. So that is why you want to build relationships now, just knowing what people want and providing solutions for it has made many people millionaires and is still making. So know what your downlines really want, some don’t even know why they are in the business, help them determine that and guide them to success in their network marketing business without asking for anything or trying to spam them.

Remember that MLM is a people’s business not numbers game. You need lots of people yes, but people that will build the business for you and be loyal, and that can only happen if you show them you value and care for them

How to Submit your Site URL to Web Directories for Maximum Exposure

Submitting your site URL to web directories is one of the best ways to build links to your website but it is also one of the most rigorous tasks in blogging business because there are thousands of web directories and if you really want to build good links you have to submit to lots of these directories.

There are two options available for adding site URL to directories. You can either manually submit your URL or use submission software.

URL Auto Submission

Automatic submission though could save you some time but it doesn’t usually do a thorough job. The common problem associated with auto submission of URL is duplication of advertisement in web directories and you know search engines don’t like duplication of content, in this case links.

Moreover, to maximize the power of web directories you have to make some differences in your site description with different web directories and play with your keyword using variances of it. If not you could be penalized.

Manual Submission of URL

If you manually submit your URL to directories, you can ensure accuracy. You can control the process using the right keyword and description you want to use.

It is not about quantity though quantity matters because the more site your add your URL to, the more links you get. But all your hard work could lead to nothing when your site is removed from search engine listings because of too much duplication of content and keyword.

So even if it is just 20 sites you can submit to, you would be happy knowing that it was properly done and you would get some good quality links from it

Practical Steps to Submit your Site to Directories for Maximum Exposure

A sample of a web directory submission form

sample of a web directory form

Site name/Title requires you to enter either the name of your site or its title. Note that below it, it says anchor text. It means that whatever you enter there will appear as anchor text. And remember what I said about quality link building, anchor text links has more weigh in search engine rankings. Meaning the more site that link to you with a keyword anchor text like ‘blogging’ the higher your chance of ranking for it

So instead of entering the name of your site or its title, enter the keyword you want to get ranked for.

Then give a little description of your site putting your keyword into consideration but not over doing it.

Use variations of your keyword when filling out web directory forms. There are two benefits in doing this, first is that you can get ranked for all the variations. Second is that search engines do not see you as spamming your keyword and penalize you

So think properly about your keyword before filling out that site name/title

Before adding your URL to a directory, check the page rank to be sure it’s worth the trouble. A site popularity is shown by it page rank, the higher it page rank, the higher the number of it daily visitors and the more people your URL will be exposed to.

When choosing a category for your URL you want to be patient enough to go through all the categories and be sure of the one that fits well with your site else you risk losing targeted visitors to your site

If there is no category that fits well with your site on a particular directory it is better to ignore that directory and move to another instead of choosing a category that doesn’t fit well with what your site is about and attract the wrong visitors to your site
After all there are thousands of web directories to pick from.
