Facts about Making Money on the Internet

Tips for Making Money Online

Facts about Making Money On the Internet article was influenced by an article I read that cleared my ideas about making money on the internet. I learnt a lot and thought I would share it with you.

Recently I bookmarked some money making blog sites with the intention of visiting them once a while to be updated and make comments, you know, a strategy to get traffic. One of the sites that I bookmarked is Court’s blog, when i went through I quickly saw a heading that captured my attention: 7 Brutally Straightforward Tips For Making Money On The Internet I clicked on it and immediately started reading, I was amazed at what I was reading. It was different from the usual information I read online.

Why beginners are not Making Money Online

One fact that hit me that day is that the reason why some of us are not making money online is because we always think we can’t do it, we don’t have enough information and technical know, so we buy books after books, visit different blogs everyday and keep feeding our heads with different information some even contradicting and probably writing by people we know more than.
You are not making money online because you have this self defeat that you can’t do it, you are not a pro so you keep looking for the pros. When we really look deep into ourselves we realize that we are just plain lazy, and lack self confidence. I include myself because I was once like that, I bought several information products, almost all saying the same thing and I knew enough to make money online but I kept procrastinating and reading, seeking for more information. I never acted on the ones I already have, until I was forced to start. A friend called me up one day and told me he has built a blog for me that I should start writing articles for it, which is this blog.

The truth is that making money online is a process; you act on the little you know and do some trial and error. If you fail to succeed on a project doesn’t mean you are a failure, you have only found out ways not to do that particular thing and if you try it out again next time, you’ll see that you will do better. Experience is the best teacher they say. Those you worship as pros where not born pros, investigate about how they started and you will realize that they have all had their down sides in business and even lost some huge money. They became pros because they never accepted defeat, they persisted. I have come to the painful realization that even if you put money on the table and ask people to just reach out and take from it, some will still not be able. They want someone to always do their work for them.

Instead of reading and reading after reading, feeding your head with cabbage, act on the little you know, try some things out on your own and learn in the process. If you really want blunt information about making money online, visit Court’s blog and Grizzly’s Blog since I visited these two blogs, my ideas have changed and making money online no longer seem like rocket science.

Traffic equals Making Money Online

Traffic is the amount of visitors you are able to get to visit your blog/website.
No matter how good you are at providing quality information, building perfect blogs/website, if you can’t get them to the faces of readers, your effort is worth nothing. Traffic is the name of the game online – making money. And there are thousands of articles online bearing different opinions on how to or how not to get traffic to your site.
I have been reading recently that social medias, like twitter, myspace, facebook etc are good places to get traffic and just as I was about focusing on that, I read something different again, that social medias though could get us good traffic but not targeted traffic. Targeted traffic is visitors who are actually interested in your niche/topic and seek assistance in that area which your blog provides and when you have a product for sale on the niche they buy from you.

Google traffic vs. social media’s

The argument is that since the reason we (most at least) blog is to make money online by promoting products relevant to our niches, social medias are not the right place to get traffic that can make us money. Since all you get is readership and one out of hundred might not even be interested in buying your product. But google traffic on the other hand are targeted traffic, people mostly do google search to find information about a particular thing and even buy so the chances that traffic from google will click on products displayed on your site is high than traffic from social media. Though my opinion is that social media traffic also serve a purpose. They increase the number of your visitors and the higher the number of your visitors, the easier it is to get advertisers for your blog. So balancing is what I suggest. Concentrate on getting google traffic while you don’t completely forget social medias, right? Okay.

How do we get google to index your site so that it is displayed when people click on your niche?

Well, keywords, keywords and keywords. Know your keywords and use it reasonably whenever you are building a blog (in blog title and description of your blog) and posting to it (your post title and tags). Using keywords reasonably (repeatedly but not over doing it) on your blog this way enables google to quickly know what your blog is all about when it crawls it, so It can index it. And once your blog is indexed, it turns up during searches and can get traffic to your blog without you stressing yourself.

Also have your keywords at the beginning and end of your posts and bold keywords whenever you can.

To rank high in your niche it is advisable you go for smaller niches. When you use your keywords well in your blog and in your post and your competition is not too high, you can easily appear on the first page of google search.

Back links I learnt contributes a lot to your blog been indexed and ranked. Though that is another topic of its own.

One last thing I learnt which is timely is that most of the pros make money online from duplication of blogs. I mean they build different blogs on different niches and have adsense in all of them. I used to think it is better to concentrate on one particular blog and see it running successfully before duplicating it but I was proved wrong. If you really want to make money online especially from adsense, it pays to build lot and lot of blogs. When you add the little money coming from each of them together at the end of the month via adsense, you will be amazed at how much you have earned.

Do not let all this overwhelm you, it takes few minutes to set up a blog and you don’t have to spend a dime using blogger and contrary to popular believe that you have to post daily, Court and Grizzly believes that if you use your keywords properly, you do not have to make regular posts. I am already trying it and it is not rocket science.

Well, that is it for this post, I hope it helps.
